Five injured – 18-year-old raced through the 30 zone and caused an accident

An 18-year-old test driver’s license holder was traveling too fast on a municipal road in Klagenfurt on Tuesday evening. There was a collision with the car of a woman from Klagenfurt. Five injured people had to be taken to hospitals.

Instead of 30, the 18-year-old was racing his car at 80 km/h on the municipal road in Klagenfurt and collided with the car of a 51-year-old woman from Klagenfurt who was turning left. The woman’s car was also dragged for a few meters. Both drivers and three other vehicle occupants of the probationary license holder suffered injuries of an undetermined degree in the accident. After initial medical treatment, all five people were taken by the rescue team to the accident hospital and the Klagenfurt Clinic. The breathalyzer test gave a negative result for both drivers. The severely damaged vehicles had to be towed away.
