GENEVA (Reuters) – Fuel, cash and medical equipment are running out in parts of Ukraine after the Russian army invaded the country, which could force up to five million people to take refuge abroad, the specialized agencies of the United Nations said on Friday.

Ravina Shamdasani, spokesperson for the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), cited reports that at least 25 civilians have been killed and 102 others injured since the start of the Russian offensive in Ukraine on Thursday, “during shelling and airstrikes”.
This assessment is undoubtedly largely underestimated, she added.
