FK Austria as support – donate a meal with share bread purchase

Bread is one of the most important staple foods for millions of people around the world. That is why share and Caritas launched the “share dein Brot” initiative: with every share bread or biscuits bought, a meal will be donated to the local Caritas until Saturday. FK Austria Wien was also able to provide support: In a video message (see above), the footballers draw attention to the importance of sharing.

Last year, the campaign enabled 50,000 meals for people in need. The share bread or pastries are available at Billa, Billa Plus, Metro Austria, all OMV Viva petrol stations and selected bakeries in Austria – while stocks last.

“People want to do good and it is the job of modern companies to make it as easy as possible for them,” says Sebastian Stricker, co-founder and CEO of the social impact brand share. We are very happy about the support of our cooperation partners. It is about “making something positive happen in an uncomplicated way when buying bread”.

“We know from our daily work that it is always the poorest in a society who are hit hardest,” explained Caritas Director Klaus Schwertner. “For many people, the health crisis has also become a social crisis. You know and be grateful that “so many people in our country like to help, that’s why I think the share concept is forward-looking”.

Buying helps twice
share makes it its business to generate social benefits directly – and that through consumption. Their philosophy is “Buying helps”. With currently over 100 products, share offers a social alternative for everyday consumer decisions. The aim of share is to establish social consumption in the mass market and to offer people the opportunity to simply do good without additional expense when shopping. Equal assistance is made possible with every share product purchased. A QR code on the package, which reveals where the donation is going, ensures transparency.
