IPresident Emmanuel Macron described Wednesday as a “fault” the half-masting of flags in Corsica after the death of independence activist Yvan Colonna, whose funeral will take place Friday in his family village.
Asked about this during an interview with M6, President Macron replied without further comment: “It’s a mistake and it’s inappropriate”. The Community of Corsica had on Tuesday lowered its flags to the announcement of the death of Yvan Colonna, whose death after his attack in prison aroused a wave of emotions in Corsica.
