The services offered by these Elite 3 are completely consistent with what we are entitled to expect from them, both in terms of comfort, use and listening experience. They are clearly not the headphones true-wireless the most efficient and complete on the market, but they are positioned as a good choice for those who want a simple, efficient and inexpensive model. In addition, their mechanical buttons and in-ear design will appeal to those who don’t like touch controls or who are looking for passive isolation, without active noise reduction.

Strong points

  • Rich, homogeneous and energetic sound reproduction.
  • Easy to use, very comprehensive controls (with both earphones).
  • Comfortable, secure fit.

Weak points

  • Precision deficits in the extreme bass and treble.
  • Commands truncated when used with a single earbud.
  • Application poor in features and settings.

Undisputed king of the high-end sector, Sony gives birth here to a much more modest model than the excellent WF-1000XM4, but which manages to impress with its comfort and more than generous autonomy. The WF-C500s are also able to offer an honest sound experience thanks to a warm signature which is however tarnished by treble which is far too withdrawn. On the headphone segment true-wireless at less than 100 €, the WF-C500s therefore have almost everything to please, but the competition is likely to be tough given the number of models that are just as capable and sometimes offer the active noise reduction that they lack.
