Flashback 2 showcases its gameplay in a new trailer

More than 30 years after the release of the first opus of Flashbackthe platform-shooting game Flashback 2 gives news through a new trailer. Microids and Paul Cuisset share with us a bit of the gameplay of their new title.

Sitting on a throne surrounded by digital elements, we find Conrad explaining his current situation to us, giving context to Flashback 2 at the same time. Still stuck and looking for an answer, he just knows that to hope to remember he will have to fight the Morphs again.

Flashback 2 seems to reconnect with the original formula but nevertheless brings a touch of novelty, in particular with a very nice 2.5D. Unsurprisingly, Paul Cuisset has also called on former members of the team from the first part to work on this second opus. We thus find the paw of Thierry Perreau in the game design or the soundtrack of Raphaël Gesqua.

The title finally has a release date since it is now scheduled for November 2023 on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch. If the game will be released in a dematerialized version, it will also have the right to physical versions with limited and collector’s editions. The first includes, in addition to the full game, an exclusive steelbook and the digital soundtrack. The Collector’s Edition includes all the content of the limited edition plus the original Flashback game, a Conrad figurine, 3 lithographs, a pixel art crest and 2 sticker sheets.
