The actor Gaspard Ulliel, who died following a skiing accident on January 19, 2022, made an impression in 2019 during the Cannes Film Festival.

The shock was immense. On Wednesday January 19, 2022, Gaspard Ulliel died suddenly, at only 37 years old. The day before, he had been urgently hospitalized at the University Hospital of Grenoble, following a skiing accident which had earned him a head trauma. His vital prognosis was then engaged, but the announcement of his death had nonetheless been deafening. From Guillaume Canet to Jean Dujardin, via Pierre Niney, the tributes have multiplied. Everyone had a thought for this doubly Caesarized actor. That is sure even truer for Virginie Efira and Adèle Exarchopoulos with whom he had shared the poster of his last released film, Sibyl. It was in 2019. The trio had even climbed the steps of the Cannes Film Festival on this occasion, where it appeared in official competition.

What an emotion to see again the images of this dad of a five-year-old boy walking the red carpet and playing with the photographers. true gentleman, he even rushed to help Adèle Exarchopoulos to put the shoe back on her foot correctly. That evening, the shoe problems were legion, since Virginie Efira also encountered one, for which her companion Niels Schneider had come to her rescue. The time of carelessness and laughter. The beautiful smile of Gaspard Ulliel had not failed to cause a sensation. It is not the onlookers who were at the foot of the Palais des Festivals who will say the opposite. No doubt they were charmed by the handsome kid when he made the trip to sign a few autographs and take a few selfies.

Gaspard Ulliel: his ultimate climb of the steps in 2019

This climb of the steps will remain forever the last by Gaspard Ulliel, who, having no film to promote in 2021, did not attend, unlike his two companions. Adele Exarchopoulos had indeed made the trip to North ferry in which she plays alongside François Civil, Gilles Lellouche and Karim Leklou while Virginie Efira presented the controversial Benedetta.
