The 59-year-old from the Spittal district was on the Emberger Alm with his hang glider. According to the police, there was a flight error when approaching the landing field in Greifenburg. “His altitude was too high for landing, so he tried to gain altitude with a flight manoeuvre. But he failed,” the police describe the operation. The Upper Carinthian crashed into a deciduous tree and fell from a height of five meters to the ground. He was badly injured.
