Flint: Treasure of Oblivion, a game with pirates like no other revealed on video

The editor Microids today unveils a new video game, Flint: Treasure of Obliviondevelopped by Savage Level. This is a young studio founded in 2021 by industry veterans, Flint: Treasure of Oblivion will be its first game, it already promises very good things, time for the trailer:

Flint: Treasure of Oblivion will follow a band of pirates, namely the captain Flinthis second Billy Bones and a whole crew in search of legendary treasure. The title will suggest an atypical narration, inspired by Franco-Belgian comicswith a real effort in terms of historical documentation. Flint: Treasure of Oblivion will also offer tactical turn-based combat, with mechanics inspired by RPG and board games with dice rolls. Each crew member will have unique skills and players will be able to use skill and attribute cards to upgrade characters and achieve victory. Here are some key points:

• Tactical turn-based combat : Good preparation is essential: build your crew by choosing members with unique abilities, obtain new skills, improve your dice. During tactical phases, use cards to trigger abilities and attributes and influence the combat with your dice rolls.
• A narration in a comic book style : enjoy a narration which, beyond the usual comic book codes (onomatopoeia, dialogue bubbles), offers the player original and dynamic comic strips.
• Exploration : travel through a magnificent world, from the city of Saint Malo to the exotic lands of Central America and visit various environments (cities, camps, jungle, caves…) taking advantage of the power of Unreal Engine 5.
• A documented world of piracy : the game faithfully recreates a world of piracy which integrates several historical elements (language, costumes, weapons) in order to make the experience more immersive
