To fill the gap, he adopts a dog he calls Ganja. “When we find ourselves in emotional need and have lost a fiancée or friends, ultimately you make major postponements. Well I had a dog Ganja“, explains the singer in the documentary. He also confirms that he was forced to sleep in his car because his situation was so desperate: “Well yes, I had nothing left. I had more than the crate and the dog. I didn’t sleep much in the car because very quickly I became homeless.“
His meeting with Azucena
Interviewed shortly before meeting his wife Azucena, he indicated that he was ready to find love. “Love simply remains to be discovered, he revealed. “There is what you have already experienced but when you have a new campaign, you know what you don’t want. Now it’s up to her to suddenly introduce you to something that excites you and that allows you to really get involved and give everything you have through what she’s going to give you too.“
A few weeks later, he met Azucena who had just arrived in Paris for a career as a model. “She’s with someone, she doesn’t speak French, but I tell myself if something ever happens with this woman, I think I’ll try to settle down. She had something above“, he remembers. Together, they have two children: Inca (born in 1996) and Aël (born in 1999). A long and solid love story like few others today.
