Suffering from inoperable lung cancer, Florent Pagny announces the cancellation of his 60th anniversary tour.
In a short message published on social networks, Florent Pagny confided in his state of health. “I have to cancel all of my concerts due to health problems, I have just been diagnosed with a lung tumor. A cancerous tumor, not very sympathetic which cannot be operated”, explains the singer.
This inoperable tumor forces the emblematic coach of The Voice to focus solely on his recovery. “I’m going to enter a six-month protocol of chemotherapy and X-rays” he confides before continuing “you all know that in life, the most important thing is health and when you have a problem, it becomes a priority , this explains the reason why I will not be able to honor my commitments.
Florent Pagny goes “in warrior mode”
With a touch of humor, the singer reassures his fans, “you will still see me on the red armchair of The Voice in great shape, since we recorded everything before and moreover in parentheses very interesting season.”
Florent Pagny is therefore taking a break for a few months to devote himself fully to the fight that awaits him. “Me and my other half have to put ourselves in warrior mode, in order to face this rather special ordeal.”
With hope the singer concludes “Be well and then when all this is settled, we meet again, I will come to finish what I started, it will perhaps be the 61-year-old tour.”
Last September, Florent Pagny released his 20and album, L’Avenir, for which he was quickly awarded a gold record. His tour was to allow him to thank his fans for their loyalty throughout the years.
