(Boursier.com) — Florentaise , a specialist in low-carbon soils, has published a half-yearly consolidated turnover for 2023-2024 of 17.9 ME, including 8 ME achieved for the 2nd fiscal quarter (period from October 1 to December 31, 2023). Compared to the first half of 2022-2023 proforma, turnover is up 4.4%, reflecting a level of activity considered satisfactory for the sale of potting soil in France and good momentum for the BIVIS activity.

“This performance must be assessed in light of the work underway in China aimed at optimizing the Group’s industrial plan. The ongoing relocation aimed at significantly increasing production volumes mechanically weighed on commercial performance in the 2nd half of the year,” comments Florentaise.

Florentaise recalls its significant seasonality linked to gardening activities which traditionally start in spring and whose sales materialize from the 3rd quarter.

Thanks to more favorable weather conditions than those observed during the 3rd quarter of the previous financial year, the group believes it will be able to post satisfactory growth in its turnover over the second half of the year.

Florentaise also confirms its 2027 objectives aimed at achieving a consolidated turnover of 120 ME with an improvement in profitability and an operating result of more than 20% of turnover in 2027.
