(Boursier.com) — Friday, the action Florentaise gained 44.44% to 2.6 euros at market close, in unusual transaction volumes.

The company announced the results of the effectiveness study of professional peat-free substrates, launched in spring 2023, by the Technical and Economic Action Committee of Saint-Pol-de-Léon. This 6-month trial was carried out on Choisya (under cover) and Griselinia (outdoors). It aimed to compare different formulas of potting soil, with and without peat in order to guide Florentais customers in their practice of growing without peat.

The results were extremely positive for peat-free potting soils. They allow us to conclude that low carbon soils, compared to conventional soils, promote significant water saving and better development of cultivated plants by adapting the type of fertilizer used for earlier fertilization.

“We are very pleased to see that the qualities of our peat-free potting soils in production have been validated by a recognized external organization such as CATE. After the industry’s enthusiasm for our low-carbon potting soils expressed during the IPM of Essen in Germany, the first world exhibition dedicated to the discovery of solutions and innovations in the horticultural sector, these test results strengthen our determination. They open up great prospects for sustainable crops”, comments Jean-Pascal Chupin, President General Director of Florentaise.
