Florian Grill elected new president of the FFR

Florian Grill becomes the new president of the FFR. After weeks of waiting and debate to find out who would succeed Alexandre Martinez, who had held this position since the resignation of Bernard Laporte in January, Florian Grill will take over. Following elections where each club in France could have its voice expressed, the verdict fell today and it is therefore the collective “Ovale Ensemble” and Florian Grill its representative who win the latter with 58.14% of the votes. This finally sheds light on some of the trouble that has been floating over the French Rugby Federation for several months and the Laporte affair. But even if a new president has therefore been appointed, this does not completely remove the project which the latter will have to tackle before the start of the Rugby World Cup which will take place in France from September 8, 2023.
