Florian Silbereisen is happy that “DSDS” is finally starting. At the start of the season, he also recalls some tears on set.

Florian Silbereisen (40) spoke on Friday (January 21) and one day before the start of the 19th season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” about the shooting of the show. There was obviously an eternal ups and downs of feelings. “A lot of tears flowed,” revealed the singer Interview with Marco Schreyl (48) on RTL. That was the case with the candidates, but also with the jury. The reason for this is the decisions of the jury, which caused tears of joy on the one hand and tears of disappointment on the other. During the show, “dreams can also burst,” says Silbereisen. That’s why the shoot was often emotional.

Despite the tears, he is in good spirits

Nevertheless, he was “full of anticipation” that “DSDS” starts. Lots of great candidates applied. The jury team, consisting of Silbereisen, music producer Toby Gad (53) and singer Ilse DeLange (44), did not always immediately agree on the talent of each individual. But a discussion can also have a fruitful effect. Nevertheless: “In the end, a superstar must be able to inspire us all,” said Silbereisen in an interview.

The pop singer also made it clear that it was not easy for him to destroy dreams. Nevertheless, as a member of the jury, it is his responsibility to make a judgment. “It’s no use praising someone who has no talent,” he explained. However, he does not want to judge anyone. Fans can watch the 19th season of the show from January 22nd at 8:15 p.m. on RTL and RTL+.
