The 93e The Oscars ceremony has been taking place in Los Angeles since 5 p.m. local time (2 a.m. in France) on Sunday, April 25. The ceremony takes place mainly at Union Station, the Los Angeles train station, but also at the Dolby Theater, on Hollywood Boulevard, and in about twenty places around the world connected by satellite, without having to resort to Zoom.

  • This year, ABC is broadcasting the ceremony (in France, you can see it on Canal +), without a presenter for the third consecutive year.
  • Director Steven Soderbergh is producing alongside Stacey Sher and Jesse Collins the event, which has been postponed for two months due to Covid-19.

  • Three other French people are named: the director Adrien Merigeau (Genius Loci, animated short), Nicolas Becker (Sound of Metal, sound) and Frédéric Thoraval (Promising Young Woman, mounting)
