On a forest road in the Spittal an der Drau district, a 16-year-old lost control of a quad bike and jumped off the vehicle while it was driving. She had to be flown to the hospital.
A 16-year-old girl drove her father’s quad bike on a non-public forest road on an alpine pasture in the Spittal district on Monday at around 2 p.m. “For a previously unknown cause, she came off the road with the vehicle and then jumped off the quad,” says a police officer.
The vehicle fell about 20 meters over an embankment. The 16-year-old was flown to the Spittal hospital by the C7 rescue helicopter with injuries of an unspecified degree. The damaged quad was recovered by the FF Kolbnitz.
