Serious sports accident on Pentecost Sunday in the Auerklamm in the Tyrolean Oetz (Imst district)! A woman (30) fell during a canyoning tour and was seriously injured. The helicopter took her to the hospital.
The German was a member of a group of nine that was led through the Untere Auerklamm by two certified guides. The 30-year-old was well equipped with a full-body wetsuit, climbing harness and water sports shoes. But suddenly “she fell in a passage around 11:50 am and was seriously injured”, say the police.
Due to the difficult terrain, the woman was rescued by the emergency doctor’s helicopter and flown to the MEDALP in Imst.
