Realme presented the Realme 10, the renewal of its flagship smartphone in terms of value for money. On the program: a Helio G99 SoC from MediaTek and “up to 16 GB of RAM” (but half of which is virtual) for good fluidity.
Realme formalizes its Realme 10. Positioning itself on the entry level at less than 300 euros, it will find itself in a very competitive market, but we know that Realme’s strength lies there.
A Helio G99 SoC and 8 GB of RAM for the Realme 10
The Realme 10 prides itself on standing out from competitors who offer a Snapdragon 680 by embedding MediaTek’s Helio G99 SoC. According to the manufacturer, this Realme smartphone has a 20% improved energy efficiency compared to the Realme 9, a 25% more powerful CPU and a 78% more efficient GPU. He reportedly got an AnTuTu score just above 400,000.
We are also entitled to 8 GB of RAM in LPDDR4X, which can be extended to 16 GB by virtually doubling the RAM. For the manufacturer, we can use up to 18 applications ” Standby to easily navigate between them.
To power it all, the Realme 10 has a 5,000mAh battery with a maximum power charge of 33W. A battery that’s encased in a 7.95mm thick phone for a device that weighs 178 grams. The press release from the brand tells us that we can go from 0 to 50% battery in 28 minutes.
A smartphone for gaming, but not only
The brand says it has designed its smartphone for gaming in particular, since according to it, you can playPUBG: Mobileat 40 FPS in “balance“. With 128 GB of eMMC storage, Realme promises that we can keep more than 64,000 snapshots. A memory that can be extended with a microSD card to have up to 1 TB additional.
On the screen side, the Realme 10 is equipped with a 90 Hz Amoled panel, which has a maximum brightness of 1000 cd / m², all protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
In terms of design, the Realme 10 takes up the main lines of the Realme C33 which will be released in France in the coming weeks. The shapes are inspired by the iPhone, with straight edges, rounded corners, a back and a non-curved screen. Unlike the Realme C33 which had the selfie camera in a notch, the Realme 10 has this lens placed in a punch in the top left corner.
A main sensor of 50 Mpx
Speaking of photos, the Realme 10 has a 50 Mpx main sensor, the Samsung JN1, and a 15 Mpx selfie sensor. The brand emphasizes its night mode which would be improved, in particular in terms of digital noise and shutter speed.
However, we have no information on the secondary sensor found on the back of the phone, but everything suggests that it is a depth sensor, as on the Realme C33.
Realme 10 price and availability
This phone has a 3.5mm jack and comes with the Realme UI 3.0 interface, which is based on Android 12.
The Realme 10 is sold in a single version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage at 279 euros. For the moment, the brand has not revealed a release date. Two colors are apparently available, a blue and a model that goes from blue to orange through purple. Note that the Realme 10 is guaranteed for three years by the brand.
