The new FLÜWA spirit level from “The Lions’ Den” is intended to revolutionize DIY. What can the spirit level do with wings? Our author looked at the product.

Almost everyone of us knows that DIY is not always easy, at least since the tedious construction of a new piece of furniture. To get to your destination faster and easier, there is the spirit level with wings, the FLÜWA from Die Höhle der Löwen. This should allow simultaneous leveling in two directions. But is the tool really that practical?

FLÜWA from “Die Höhle der Löwen”: What can the tool do?

Master bricklayer, civil engineer and gallery owner Karlheinz Voll is the inventor of the practical tool and wants to revolutionize DIY for all hobby craftsmen and professionals. He developed the multifunctional spirit level with a fold-out wing that can measure horizontally and vertically at the same time, which is ideal for renovating, tinkering and assembling furniture.

As a craftsman and gallery owner, I often had to produce two flat surfaces at the same time and level them in different directions using two spirit levels. At some point I thought to myself: It has to be easier! I came up with the idea of directly connecting two spirit levels – and that’s how FLÜWA, the wing spirit level, was born!

This is what FLÜWA promises

  • The FLÜWA can level in two directions at the same time
  • Additional functions: Movable wing in the form of a smaller spirit level that can be folded out
  • Easy leveling in two directions without turning or using a second tool
  • Precise work thanks to the printed protractor
  • Perfect adhesion to metal surfaces thanks to the magnetic underside
  • Time savings in furniture assembly, renovation, installation, tiling

This is how the FLÜWA works

  • Can be used on all surfaces
  • In two lengths – 60 centimeters and 80 centimeters – as well as in set available.
  • For simultaneous leveling in two directions, simply fold out the movable sash
  • Use the printed protractor to set the angle at 45 degrees or with the snap-in function at 90 degrees
  • Use the magnetic underside of the spirit level for the steel construction
