The flying taxi base which is to be created for the 2024 Olympic Games is facing a serious setback.

Many unanswered questions

France has many ambitions for the next Olympic Games, during which we could notably see the very first French flying taxis in the sky. Finally, if the Aéroports de Paris (ADP) group, leader of the project, succeeds in obtaining the green light from the authorities. And it is not won yet, since the Environmental Authority (EA) has just judged that the impact study relating to the future experimental base of flying taxi was ” incomplete “.

The AE points out several problems that could create the base, planned to see the light of day on the Seine, near Austerlitz in Paris. There would thus be concerns about the impacts “ acoustic “, THE ” greenhouse gas emissions », « visual pollution ” as well as ” issues in terms of security and safety for the populations flown over “.

A perimeter to “ reconsider »

As a result, the administrative authority asks ADP to review its copy and better take into account the points highlighted above. The Environmental Authority thus asks him to ” reconsider the scope of the project and that of the analysis of its effects to fully appreciate the consequences on the affected populations and the possible impact on the natural environment “.

The first will connect Paris-Charles de Gaulle airport to Le Bourget airport, and the second and third will depart from the Issy-les-Moulineaux heliport to join, on one side, Saint-Cyr airport.
