(Boursier.com) — In the judgment published on October 9, the London Court of Appeal unanimously rejected the arguments put forward by the opposing party against Darty Holdings SAS, a subsidiary of the group Fnac Dartyin the context of the dispute linked to the sale of Comet Group Limited in 2012. The decision rendered at first instance by the High Court of London was therefore overturned.

Fnac Darty should receive, by the end of the year, the entire amount initially paid as well as reimbursement of procedural costs incurred and interest. The impact on cash flow is estimated at approximately +130 million euros.

Recall that in November 2022, the London High Court issued a first instance judgment in favor of Comet’s liquidator. The Fnac Darty group was forced to pay £112 million in December 2022, but strongly contested the merits and appealed the decision.
