Fnac Darty: negative consolidated net income in 2022 – 02/23/2023 at 5:56 pm


(CercleFinance.com) – Fnac Darty publishes 2022 revenue of 7,949 ME, down 1.9% like-for-like compared to 2021.

At the same time, the group saw its current operating income drop from €270m to €230m (i.e. -14.8%), while the consolidated net income Group share was -€28m in 2022, compared to €160m a year earlier. .

“The year 2022 was marked by a growing level of inflation in an uncertain geopolitical environment which impacted visibility on activity throughout the year”, highlights the group.

In this context, Fnac Darty anticipates a slight decline in sales in the 1st half coupled with a sharp rise in costs, particularly in energy, but believes that it should benefit from less unfavorable market conditions in the second half with a level of inflation which could be lower than in the first half.

The group is targeting Current Operating Income (ROC) for 2023 of around €200m.
