Unveiled by Square Enix during the May 2023 PlayStation Showcase, Foamstars launches the invitations for the start of its foam parties. The 4v4 shooting game, not unlike
Splatoon but foam version, will therefore be available from February 6, 2024 on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
And so that everyone can enjoy the party,
Foamstars will be available upon release until March 4, 2024 for all PlayStation Plus members. Subscribers will therefore be able to add the title to their library and play it for free for almost a month. After that, you will have to go through the PlayStation Store box to buy the game at the price of €29.99. Note that to be able to play the game, a PlayStation Plus subscription and an Internet connection will be required.
Foamstars already announces that the year will be punctuated with free seasonal updates. The opportunity to discover new game modes, maps, playable characters and cosmetic items. At the same time, it will also be possible to purchase a premium season pass for €5.99 for each season. Players who purchased the premium season pass will instantly unlock season pass characters and obtain other season-exclusive cosmetic items.
Upon release, the title will offer 3 PvP game modes,
Hunting for the star, Survival in foamy environments and finally Rubber duck party. It will also offer a PvE game to play as a team or solo with the mode
Foamstar and the Squad Missions.
