Dave Grohl swaps the rock stage for the Royal Box in Wimbledon. The Foo Fighters star appeared in London in a classy suit.

To visit what is probably the most prestigious and famous tennis tournament in the world, Dave Grohl (55) swapped his rocky grunge look for a suit on Tuesday. The frontman of the rock band Foo Fighters was barely recognizable on the second day in Wimbledon.

The singer’s wild, shoulder-length curls gave way to a sleek ponytail. He wore a dark blue suit, white shirt and yellow tie, brown-framed glasses and brown Gucci slippers as he sat in the Royal Box with his wife Jordyn Blum (48).

Dave Grohl adheres to the strict dress code

According to the official Wimbledon rules, guests in the Royal Box must come in elegant outfits. For men, the dress code is jacket and tie. Women must also refrain from wearing hats, as these could block the view of the people sitting behind them.

Grohl’s wife, with whom he has been married since 2003 and with whom he has three daughters, stuck to this. Blum came in a simple, light blue blouse dress with pearl buttons and a waist belt. She styled her blonde hair in a braided hairstyle. She chose a white bag with a gold handle.

More celebrities on day two at Wimbledon

In addition to Grohl, Duran Duran singer Simon Le Bon (65) and his daughter Tallulah (29) were also present at Wimbledon on Tuesday. The day before, David Beckham (49) and his mother Sandra were among those honored to be in the Royal Box.

The traditional tennis tournament in Wimbledon began on July 1st and will continue until July 14th in London.
