Kylian Mbappé justified on Sunday, in a post on his Twitter account, his decision announced on Saturday to extend until 2025 at Paris SG, where he is convinced that he can “continue to grow.”
“Their disappointment is equal to my hesitations”
The superstar striker also wanted to “thank the president of Real Madrid Florentino Pérez” who tried to recruit him: “I suspect the disappointment (of Real, editor’s note). She lives up to my hesitations. I will be their first supporter for the Champions League final (against Liverpool on May 28, editor’s note), in Paris. At home.”
The player must explain himself to journalists on Monday (3:00 p.m.) during a press conference at the Parc des Princes. He will be alongside the president of the capital club Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, whom he thanked in his message “for his trust, his listening and his patience.”

“I am very happy to be able to continue to evolve in France, the country which saw me born, grow and flourish. And which gives me the opportunity to pursue my dreams”, he wrote again.
“I am very happy to continue the adventure”
Mbappé had already spoken to the public at the Parc on Saturday, before the match against Metz (5-0). “I’m very happy to continue the adventure. I’ve always said that Paris is my home,” he said at the microphone, prompting cheers from the fans.
His decision was less well received on the side of Real, long optimistic in negotiations with the player and his clan. The Spanish press evoked Sunday the “betrayal” of an attacker who does not have “the class” for Madrid.
With this signing, Mbappé becomes “the cornerstone of the PSG project”, according to Al-Khelaïfi. The capital club hopes to rebuild this summer around him a structure capable of winning the first Champions League for PSG, the obsession of its Qatari owner.
In the wake of the announcement of the extension of “Kyky”, sporting director Leonardo was dismissed from his post, the first movement of an off-season which promises to be eventful.
