Tuesday’s 2-1 loss to Georgia was one too many. Bernard Challandes (70) is no longer the national coach for Kosovo. In the World Cup qualifiers, the Kosovars are in last place after seven games. The former Super League coach took up the post in March 2018.
“We have decided to end the cooperation,” said association president Agim Ademi at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon. Challandes himself says of his dismissal: “I’m not happy about the decision, but grateful for the chance that I was able to build something.” (red)
