Premier League: Man City easily against Brighton
Manchester City easily earned the budgeted three points against Brighton in the supplementary game of the 29th round of the Premier League. Thanks to the 4-0 win, the reigning champions overtook Liverpool in the table and moved up to second place. One point separates the “Skyblues” from leader Arsenal with one game less. After Kevin de Bruyne’s header made it 1-0, Phil Foden extended the lead with a brace before half-time. In the 62nd minute, Julian Alvarez made it 4-0. Manuel Akanji played through at City.
Eredivisie: Eindhoven are virtually champions after an 8-0 win
With their biggest league win in almost 14 years, PSV Eindhoven has taken a big step towards their 25th championship in the Netherlands. Peter Bosz’s team won 8-0 at Heerenveen on Thursday. Chasers Feyenoord Rotterdam, who won 3-1 at Go Ahead Eagles Deventer in the evening, could still overtake PSV, nine points behind and with three games left. However, with Eindhoven’s goal difference being 30 goals better, this should be utopian.
