Will the Puma brand steal a partnership with FC Barcelona? According to Spanish media, the German brand would have proposed an attractive offer to the Spanish club with the aim of starting a partnership quickly. Problem, the latter is linked to Nike until… 2028.

Will Barcelona jerseys feature the Nike logo for much longer? Officially, the Spanish team and the comma brand have signed a contract running until 2028. But behind the scenes, Puma is on the verge of making an offer to become the official equipment supplier of the La Liga club, announces the Catalan media More than balls.

If Nike and FC Barcelona have been linked since 1998, in recent months, several rumors indicated that the rag was burning between the two entities. The Blaugrana blame the comma in particular for several stock shortages leading to a loss of earnings for the club. The opportunity is therefore perfect for Puma, which intends to reproduce its success with Manchester City. In 2019, the German company managed to replace Nike as the official equipment supplier of one of the richest football teams on the planet.

The Puma logo on jerseys from 2025?

The amount to convince the Barcelona team to abandon the comma brand should be higher than what Puma signed with Manchester, which amounts to 75 million euros per year. In exchange, the German brand would like to start the partnership from the 2025-2026 season.

It remains to be seen whether FC Barcelona will accept the offer, especially as clauses linking the Catalans to Nike could render Puma’s objective obsolete.
