The Tonnbodnerweg is an important link between Stockenboier Straße and several farms. In the meantime, however, the roadway is already in great need of renovation. Now is to be renewed by 100,000 euros.
Above all, the timber transport in the agricultural and forestry area, several hundred hectares in size, has severely affected the roadway of the Tonnbodnerweg in Stockenboi. The asphalt has now been completely destroyed in some places.
“An investment is urgently needed here, because a modern infrastructure is a prerequisite for the development of our rural regions and for the mobility of people in the countryside,” said Agricultural Councilor Martin Gruber. The road renovation – for which 100,000 euros will be invested – has now been sealed with a groundbreaking ceremony. 70,000 euros of this will be funded by the state’s agricultural department, the rest is to be taken over by the community and several interested parties.
Further construction work will follow
In the first construction phase, the substructure of the Tonnbodnerweg will be renewed this year. This should at least guarantee the transport of wood, which is essential for foresters. “Further construction work will follow next year. The carriageway will also be re-asphalted over a length of 300 meters, ”said the Provincial Council.
