Reach your destination faster at a “super saver price”

For Traveling with the ICE you often have to dig deep into your pocket. Occasionally a flight costs even less. However, if you are reasonably flexible andSuper saver price“-Offer caught, pays only 12.90 euros for a journey or 17.90 euros for longer distances. Until Sunday February 12, 2023 switches the Deutsche Bahn a additional contingent of corresponding tickets free. The campaign was originally only supposed to run until February 7th. While there were one million tickets last time, Bahn remains unspecific this time – but still assures “a significant increase in availability”.

Compared to the last action, the discounted tickets this time not only for single journeys within Germany, but also – with the “Super Sparpreis Europa” – also to other European destinations such as Brussels, Paris, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Prague, South Tyrol, Vienna or Zurich. However, this is where it starts 19.90 euros going on, which is still very cheap for trips abroad.

Depending on the occupancy and the time of travel, you can also get the return trip at a super saver price, so that, for example, a weekend trip from Munich to Hamburg (or vice versa) would only cost 35.80 euros. With the BahnCard 25 or BahnCard 50, there is even a 25 percent discount, which lowers the price for a simple ICE ride down to less than 14 euros. By the way: If you don’t like 2nd class, you can also get one for an extra charge place in 1st class book.

Tickets can be booked up to 180 days in advance shortly before departure. However, you can cancel a maximum of twelve hours after booking, after that no more. There is also a train connection. Children up to 14 years travel for free with an accompanying person who is at least 15 years old. For children traveling alone up to 14 years, parents or legal guardians only pay half.

Our assessment: Flexibility is rewarded

The Super saver price from 12.90 euros or from 19.90 euros to destinations outside of Germany does not apply to all ICE connections – you usually have to pay significantly more on popular routes. Nonetheless, bargain hunters get their money’s worth if they find a little earlier or later travel time choose when booking and do not hesitate too long.

The offers apply only while stocks last or until the quota is exhausted. We assume that with the current fuel prices and the generally increased desire to travel, this will already be the case before the official end of the campaign on February 12, 2023 will be the case. For example, if you want to travel during carnival or carnival or visit your family at Easter by train instead of by car, you can use the Save money on the Bahn action. As a reminder, the super saver price is up to 180 days in advance bookable.

No matter where ticket is valid until the end of the year
