On Whit Monday, the big anniversary of the Diocese of Eisenstadt was celebrated in St. Martin’s Cathedral under the motto “60 Years Diocese of Eisenstadt – 100 Years of Burgenland”. Due to the Corona postponement last year, not only the anniversary of the diocese, but also of the country was celebrated this year.
The festive service took place under strict Corona security measures in the presence of numerous guests, including Governor Hans Peter Doskozil. “Just as the Diocese of Eisenstadt would not exist without an independent, autonomous Burgenland, this Burgenland is also inconceivable today without the Diocese of Eisenstadt,” emphasized Doskozil.
