Prince Harry (38) wants to improve the world with sport. That’s why the Royal will travel to Japan and Singapore in just a few days. First, Harry will attend a special sports charity summit, followed by a polo cup for the Sentebale charity he co-founded.

“The annual Polo Cup is critical to Sentebale’s vital work to ensure children and young people are healthy, resilient and thriving,” said Prince Harry quoted on the organization’s website. The funds collected in 2023 are to flow into a “Clubs and Camps” program with which Sentebale supports young people who have to live with HIV.

The “2023 Sentebale ISPS Handa Polo Cup” will be held on August 12 at the Singapore Polo Club Sports Center. With his team, Harry will compete against his longtime friend Nacho Figueras (46) and his team. Before that, the Argentine polo player and the prince will travel to Japan. In Tokyo, they will attend a summit they say is about the power of sport, community and philanthropy.

Harry and William, the polo royals

Last year, the cup took place at the Aspen Valley Polo Club in the United States, where Harry lives with his wife, Duchess Meghan (41), and their children, Archie (4) and Lilibet (2). Sentebale reports that the event has raised more than $11 million since 2010.

Harry’s brother, Prince William (41), also recently competed in a match. In early July he took part in a charity polo match at the traditional Guards Polo Club in Windsor. There he was actively supported by his wife, Princess Kate (41). According to media reports, the event raised more than $1.2 million for charities.
