For a wrist of pearls

More often than not, jewelers prefer to enrich their collections than to launch new ones. This is the case with the Perlée line from Van Cleef & Arpels, born in 2008 and dedicated to the golden pearl. Introduced in the brand’s creations from the 1920s to underline a design or border a stone, the latter became a motif in its own right in the 1950s with the Couscous and Bagatelle collections. Made in yellow, pink or white gold, using the lost-wax casting technique, they are hand-finished to give them a harmonious roundness before polishing them to reveal maximum shine.

This year, the Perlée family is expanding with a dozen rings, adornments and secret watches, whose pearls blend with colored stones, and five watches in a timeless style, with their round dial lined with a double row of pearls and their bracelets in grosgrain fabric and in links of articulated gold pearls which are inverted thanks to a simple manipulation. For the first time, Perlée pearls are assembled to create a bracelet that hugs the wrist like a second skin.
