For criticizing a Riot decision, Doublelift is sanctioned

Although Doublelift be an LCS legend, Riot Games cannot excuse everything. In fact, shortly after the showmatch between Mr.Beast and Ninja on League of Legendswe learned that Bjergsen should have participatedbut that Riot Games would have prevented it.

A decision that had displeased the former ADC who did not hesitate to criticize Riot’s decision by specifying that it would have been the opportunity for the title to benefit from good publicity. For Doublelift, LCS audiences are ‘dying’ and this event could have attracted Ninja and Mr.Beast fans to discover the competitive scene of the game.

A position that visibly exasperated Riot especially as Doublelift is one of their North American league broadcast partners. So the player was entitled to a second sanction, the first being due to vulgarities during a stream. This sanction thus preventing the streamer from covering LCS matches for the upcoming week. Obviously, the sanction is not intended to be too severe given that Riot Games knows that it also needs the streamer’s audience to ensure good LCS numbers.

The player still has wanted to apologize by correcting his statement.

“The LCS isn’t dying nor is it stupid, in fact the league is doing very well.”

Despite this beautiful correction, it is difficult not to see a slight smirk from the former professional player.
