The candidate “Reconquest!” Eric Zemmour was invited on Friday March 25 on Sud Radio. On the program: Ukrainian crisis, remigration, purchasing power, Islam and Corsica.
Before returning to Éric Zemmour’s performance on Sud Radio, a major clarification: while he explained – see below – that, according to an Ifop-Fiducial survey for Sud Radio dated March 25, 66% of French “were for remigration”, the former journalist evaded the question that was asked in this survey. The question: “Thinking of the term ‘remigration’, would you say that it is an objective (to expel illegal immigrants, foreign S-files, foreign delinquents) that you support? The panel answered “Yes, rather” to 66%, which does not mean “66% of French people who are for remigration” as Éric Zemmour claims.
Before his big meeting on Sunday March 27 at the Trocadéro, where “40,000 people have already registered”, Éric Zemmour returned to the various G7 summits relating to the Ukrainian crisis: “I think that the only way to end the war is peace negotiations between the protagonists first and all the European countries which would have an interest in organizing peace on the continent. NATO is not at war with Russia, we are not at war with Russia. Sanctions affected the United States very early on, and especially France for that matter. »
Asked about the possible use of chemical weapons by Vladimir Putin against the Ukrainian population, the candidate “Reconquest! said he had the “information that[il] can have by being out of power: we read the newspapers, we don’t know what’s going on, even if it’s horrible to use chemical weapons. ” He took the opportunity to slip a tackle to Jean-Luc Mélenchon about the peacekeepers, whom the latter wants to send to the Polish border: “The peacekeepers are absolutely useless. We have seen it in all conflicts. If the two protagonists do not want them, they are useless. »
Another point discussed: the fact that French companies have remained on Russian soil: “I think that we must impose sanctions to bring peace, but not sanctions that turn against us and destroy our economy. In the front lines are the French and the Germans. However, the Germans protect their gas, whereas we, on the argument of our values, we are ready to sacrifice our economy which we must protect, like our companies. »
The conversation then turned to the polls and the former journalist’s recent controversies, particularly on the subject of remigration (the Ifop-Fiducial poll for Sud Radio shows, as written above, that 66% of French people are “rather favorable, thinking of the term ‘remigration’ that it is an objective that they support”). Happy with this observation, Éric Zemmour declared that “the survey on remigration is the big event of the day. He added: “For days, I have been told that it is horror, that it is far-right, but I see that two thirds of French people approve of the word and what I put in it. . Madame Le Pen, as for the great replacement, is on the side of the left, and even of the left LFI. Half of Socialist voters are in favor of it. »
“We cannot oppose the end of the month and the end of France,” he said.
The candidate then developed his program concerning immigration: “Expelling S files is not in the law, the same for criminals and delinquents. Forfeiting offenders from binationality is not in the law either, it is I who want to put this in place. Accustomed to punchlines, Éric Zemmour also explained that “purchasing power is essential for people, but we cannot oppose the end of the month and the end of France. When there is no longer France, we will have even more poverty and we will suffer the horrors of Islamism. » He particularly regretted that « the war in Ukraine monopolized the countryside » whereas he « made numerous proposals in favor of purchasing power such as increasing the net salary without burdening the gross salary and the competitiveness of companies. »
And on the RSA? “There is a problem with social benefits, which are too heavy for France, but I no longer give them to foreigners. It’s seductive to tell them they’re going to work ten, fifteen hours, but it never works. The subject is that national solidarity has been overused and given to all foreigners. He also castigated the current political composition by putting listeners – and potential voters – in a situation: “People have a choice: either put Marine Le Pen in front of Emmanuel Macron: nothing changes and LR is happy because he is saved since no elected LR will call to vote for her. But if I am in the second round, everything is swept away: LR is dead, some of the elected officials (Ciotti, Bellamy) will join me and we will finally bring together the rights. Voters have a choice. »
Éric Zemmour also talked about his program on pensions – 64 years for departures, a plan for widows/ves, aid for small pensions, but the journalists quickly returned to questions of immigration and Islam. The candidate “Reconquest! said: “There is no hatred on my part against Muslims, I make an analysis of Islam based on the texts. Muslims are citizens like the others, there are even some who will vote for me. Muslims can have a practice far from literal texts and Muslims are French citizens and those who prefer French laws to Sharia are my brothers. »
He ended by linking the Corsican problem to the situation of Islamism in France: “We have once again witnessed a magnificent political confusion of the government. The major fact is not autonomy but jihad in prison. The government does not control anything, because immigration and Islam are the black angles of Emmanuel Macron. He doesn’t give in, in three weeks it’s over, the campaign is over. Jihad strikes in prisons, in the streets, in housing estates. »
