This year the last season of “Um Himmels Willen” will be broadcast. Unfortunately, the actors in the series could not celebrate the farewell properly.
In 2002 the first episode of “Um Himmels Willen” ran on television, but despite its great success, the series will be canceled after 19 years in spring 2021 – the last episodes have already been shot. Nina Hoger, 60, has been an integral part of the main cast since 2014. How was the farewell to the series for the actress?

It was very emotional, she told “t-online”: “Andrea Sihler and I had the last scene and then it suddenly came to an end. There were some acceptance speeches and many had tears in their eyes.”
Unfortunately, the cast couldn’t celebrate – Corona thwarted their plans. “Of course it is a shame if you cannot say goodbye properly after such a long and intense time, if you are not allowed to hug and maybe toast again and just sit and talk. None of that happened due to the corona and that is sad, especially after such a difficult year. ”

Nina Hoger on her job: “There are far more interesting roles for men”
In this context, Hoger also spoke about what it is like to work as a woman in the film industry. Unfortunately, she could not draw a positive conclusion: “There are far more interesting roles for men. And in this” intermediate age “in which I am now, the range of roles is manageable.” One thing gives her hope, however: “I think the ‘youth craze’ is no longer as acute as it was a few years ago and in our industry it is like in other industries: Equality is a lengthy process, but women are on the advance And that’s good.” She is confident that quality will prevail.
