For its 10th anniversary, Free Mobile boosts its 5G plan to 210 GB for € 19.99 per month

To celebrate the 10 years of Free Mobile, Xavier Niel’s brand is changing its main package. An offer accumulating 210 GB of data in 5G every month, for a price that does not change for current customers or for new subscribers: € 19.99.

Ten years have passed since the launch of Free Mobile, its 3G package at € 2 and its other offer at € 19.99. Two formulas that still exist, to which the Free Series has been added, a temporary offer valid for one year, to deal with ephemeral packages offered by other “low cost” operators.

Always ready to push the limits a little more, Free has decided to celebrate this anniversary with dignity. Its 5G offer, the one at € 19.99, goes from 150 to 210 GB monthly, both for current customers and for new subscribers. It is therefore the best 5G offer on the market in terms of pricing. On the other hand, remember that Free’s 5G has been criticized on numerous occasions, including by the telecoms gendarme. Xavier Niel’s operator in fact relied largely on 700 MHz antennas, far from the 3.5 GHz “core band” required to obtain the best speeds on the latest generation of network.

At the same time, Free took the opportunity to renew its temporary offer. A 100 GB 4G package (with 10 GB in Europe and the DOM) at € 10.99 per month for one year, which switches after this period to the 5G package mentioned above. This formula is however reserved for new subscribers, and valid until January 18. Several smartphones in the Free Flex offer will also benefit from exceptional discounts until January 19, in stores and on the Free site.
