To celebrate the 5th anniversary of the game’s release in Japan, NieR: Automata
had more than a pretty illustration in its suitcases: an adaptation project in an animated series. The recent rumor was therefore true.

Unfortunately, we will have to settle for a small teaser showing 2B and Pod 042, and very little information for the moment.

A project that makes sense, we can’t deny it

It is via a short video and an official site that the information fell: the video game NieR: Automata is going to be adapted into an anime. Format, length, date, studio, platform… We don’t yet know anything concrete about the transposition of the acclaimed action-RPG.

Selling more than 6 million copies worldwide, the title published by Square Enix and developed by PlatinumGames takes place for memory on Earth, in a distant future where the few living human beings are waging a proxy war via androids against robotic invaders.

NieR, it’s over! (Finally, it’s Yoko Taro who says it…)
