While Samsung and Apple still charge their phones very slowly, Xiaomi, for example, has 120-watt charging speeds even in the mid-range. The only problem is that they are not compatible with each other. If you switch from Xiaomi to Huawei, you have to replace all the appropriate power supplies directly. This should come to an end in the future. That is why these and other Chinese companies have joined forces for a new fast charging technology (Source ithome).

Huawei, Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo are the best-known manufacturers participating there. In the future, all smartphones could use the same protocol and thus be compatible with each other. So if you get a Xiaomi cell phone with a 120 watt power supply in the future, it could also achieve the high charging speed of a Huawei cell phone. However, the cooperation has yet to start and should lead to cooperation in certain sections.
