For series, do you prefer binge-watching or one episode per week?

While rumor has it that Netflix might stop releasing its shows season by season, let us know which format you prefer.

When it comes to consuming the new season of a trending series, two schools clash. On the one hand, those who have been fed up with Netflix series and who like to lock themselves away for a whole weekend to binge watcher the 10 or 12 episodes in one go in SVoD, and on the other those who like to take their time, watch an episode here and there and above all not get spoilers at the end of the adventure.

This second rhythm therefore adapts more to the weekly releases of a series broadcast on television or on certain platforms such as OCS or Disney+ for example. Recently, we saw season 4 of Stranger Things arrive on Netflix, which it was possible to complete (at least the first part) in about ten hours, while the miniseries Obi-Wan Kenobi brings its fans back to Disney+ every week.

But here it is: the second format makes it possible to talk about a series longer, both in the press and on social networks. Also, Netflix would consider publishing its flagship series episodically. A bandage on a wooden leg to prevent the escape of its subscribers.

It should also be noted that the series are generally formatted according to their mode of distribution. Many criticize, for example, the episodes of Game Of Thrones to lack rhythm throughout to end on a cliffhanger thought to bring fans back to their TVs the following week. Conversely, a series binge-watchable sometimes adopts this same principle on a full season scale.

Binge-watching or episodic format?

Faced with this rumor and the debates that are raging in the editorial staff to know which method of distribution is the best, we wanted to have your opinion on the question. Do you prefer to watch series that come out season by season for binge watcheror rather wait for the episodes to come out bit by bit?
