For the environment – Restaurant is removing shrimp from the menu

Anyone who goes to the “Dean&David” in Salzburg knows that you have to search a long time for hearty food there. Now the restaurant wants to protect the environment in addition to its health-conscious orientation – and without further ado removes shrimp from its range.

If you want to photograph your salad for social media in the future, you have to do without one actor: shrimp. “We want to counteract the severe environmental pollution caused by aquaculture and the extensive animal suffering caused by wild capture,” says Dean&David Managing Director Laurenz Hoffmann. Instead, vegan meat will also be offered in the future. “The first experiences with customers have already shown that 30% of the orders have already chosen chicken made from meat substitutes instead of conventional chicken,” says Hoffmann. New worlds of taste are awaiting the people of Salzburg.
