Microsoft Copilot will soon have new options, some coming directly from ChatGPT And SLAB. Some new features are even already available.
To celebrate Copilot’s first year, Microsoft is announcing new features coming to its virtual assistant, including support for GPT-4 Turbo. The Redmond firm announces that all these new features are being tested and that they will be “deployed soon”.
Featured GPT-4 Turbo, Enhanced DALL-E 3
Copilot will be able to generate responses from the latest version of the language model developed by OpenAI, namely GPT-4 Turbo. The latter is capable of processing more complex requests and longer tasks than the standard version of GPT-4. GPT-4 Turbo integration with Copilot has started with selected users and will be rolled out more widely ” in the coming weeks “.
Microsoft also announces the arrival of a new DALL-E 3 model in Copilot. This allows you to create images of even higher quality and which better respect the prompt. The update is already available and you can benefit from it by asking Copilot to create an image or by going to bing.com/create.
On Microsoft Edge, Copilot will soon be able to edit any text you’ve selected to rewrite it in a different way. On Bing, a Deep Search function will provide users “optimized search results for complex topics”. Once enabled, Deep Search will expand search queries to obtain more relevant and comprehensive results.
The ChatGPT code interpreter in Copilot
Microsoft will combine the capabilities of GPT-4 with those of the Bing image search tool to give Copilot a better understanding of the images submitted to it.
Finally, a code interpreter, already present in ChatGPT, will appear to help Copilot carry out more precise calculations, data analysis and visualization, or even computer coding. The code interpreter is already available to a few select users and will be rolled out to everyone soon.
As a reminder, Microsoft first launched Bing Chat, before granting the Copilot function to several of its products, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Edge and Windows. Now, all of this has been brought together to form a single experience: Microsoft Copilot.
