Uschi Glas had her breakthrough in 1968

Born on March 2, 1944 in Landau an der Isar, Uschi Glas began her acting career in the 1960s. She became known for her role as Apanatschi in “Winnetou and the Half-Blood Apanatschi” in 1966. Her real breakthrough came in 1968 with the role of Barbara in the film “To the Matter, Sweetheart”. Here she caused a stir, especially with a striptease, and was remembered. From 1968 onwards, Glas was often seen on television in leading roles – often alongside Roy Black. She also celebrated her debut on the theater stage in 1968 with the play “Our Dearest Friend”.

She appears in five Edgar Wallace films

In the 70s and 80s, Uschi Glas expanded her repertoire and demonstrated her acting versatility in a number of television series. She played roles in “The Inspector”, “Our Most Beautiful Years” and “Two Munich People in Hamburg”. She became particularly popular in the 1990s in the popular TV series “Anna Maria – A Woman Goes Her Way”. Over the course of her career, Uschi Glas appeared in five Edgar Wallace films. Even today she is part of successful large-scale productions. She had a supporting role in the “Fack Ju Göthe” films in 2013, 2015 and 2017. There she embodied a burned-out teacher.

Aside from the camera, Uschi Glas is also known for her social commitment. She is involved in various charitable projects, particularly promoting education and supporting children.
