Lidl is currently offering a cheap folding e-bike from Prophete in its online shop. An interesting deal for commuters or summer vacations.

Folding bikes have always been popular with commuters and vacationers. The bikes can be easily folded up and taken on the train, they can also fit in a motorhome and can be used on holiday to explore the surrounding area or go shopping. In times of e-bikes, folding bikes are of course available in the form of Pedelecs. Discounter Lidl currently offers one in its online shop.
The aluminum compact bike from Prophete offers 20-inch tires and a frame height of 46 centimeters. It is equipped with a 7-speed gear system from Shimano, rim and coaster brakes, luggage rack and lighting system.
The battery has a capacity of 374.4 watt hours. According to the manufacturer, it should be sufficient for a range of up to 100 kilometers. The mid-engine comes from AEG and, at 50 Newton meters, offers good support power – even for climbs.
The total weight is 26 kilograms, the permissible total weight is 150 kilograms. When assembled, the bike measures 162 x 63 x 98 centimeters; there is no information about the dimensions when folded.
At a price of just under 1,499 euros, the e-folding bike from the discounter makes a solid impression. It scores points above all with its mid-engine and a decent range.

The Prophete folding bike is currently only available at Lidl. The discounter charges 1,499 euros, the manufacturer’s recommended retail price is 2,399.95 euros.
