“My little wine farm with 1200 grape vines is my hobby. It all started in 2012 with a few Regent bushes and Bianca vines, ”says the 61-year-old. “Nobody thought that wine growing would ever work here in Millstatt – I was advised against it, they even thought I was crazy,” laughs the retired master carpenter. He proved it was possible. “Written records show that we were already growing wine in the 19th century.”
