Ford delivers 50,000th Mach-E electric SUV to Germany

50,000 is the number of Ford Mach-Es delivered since the launch of this electric model. Admittedly, we are (very) far from Tesla’s production, but this figure is symbolic. Produced in Mexico and arrived by boat in Europe, this 50,000th copy was delivered to Germany at the Ford Ebbert dealership in Gütersloh (North Rhine-Westphalia). This dealership has been a “exclusive Ford partner”.

The owners of the vehicle are a couple who wanted “a car suitable for the family” after the birth of their son. For the record, this is the family’s first electric automobile. The model chosen is the 358 kW (487 hp) GT version with a 99 kWh (Extended Range) battery offering up to 490 km of range.

Since its launch in Germany, Ford has sold 8,600 units of its Mach-E. This is its second European market after Norway (10,400).

In France, the Ford Mustang Mach-E has so far sold 4464 copies, with the following distribution:

  • 747 RWB, or 49% of Mustang Mach-E sales
  • 511AWD (34%)
  • 158 First Editions (10%)
  • 108GT (7%)
  • 230RWD SR (15%)
  • 504RWD ER (33%)
  • 117 AWD SR (8%)
  • 565 AWD ER (37%)
  • RWD 501 (33%)
  • 1023AWD (67%)

In its electrification strategy, Ford plans to offer a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) or 100% electric version in each of its ranges from 2026. In 2030, passenger cars will only be electric.

According to Patrick Schenzler, Ford VP for DACH markets (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), “Ford will again launch another all-electric series in Europe this year. It will be built in Cologne”.
