(CercleFinance.com) – Ford announces the appointment of Peter Stern, formerly of Apple, to head its new division, Ford Integrated Services, which aims to develop and market software.
Peter Stern, who was vice president of the services division at Apple for more than six years, will set up a world-class team aimed in particular at developing services related to the BlueCruise hands-free highway driving system, as well as productivity and safety/security services.
It will also involve developing new services with high added value.
“The cornerstone of our Ford+ plan is creating the incredible customer services and experiences made possible by quality hardware and software,” said Ford chief executive Jim Farley.
“There is simply no one in the world more capable than Peter Stern of building this strategically vital part of our business,” he added.
