Ford: sales up 5.9% in the USA in July

(CercleFinance.com) – Ford announced on Wednesday a 5.9% increase in its July car sales in the United States, an increase that was mainly due to its largest fuel-powered models.

The American automaker said this morning that it sold 173,639 passenger cars last month, compared with 163,942 vehicles in July 2022.

In line with the trend that has been driving the group’s sales for several years, motorists have continued to turn away from city cars and sedans in favor of pick-ups.

The successful F-Series range saw its sales climb by 8.2% to 68,536 units.

Its sales of electric vehicles fell 18.1 percent to 6,280 units, while those of hybrids climbed 31.6 percent to 11,447.

After 20 minutes of trading on Wall Street, the Ford title yielded 2.4% while the S&P 500 index yielded 0.8%.
