Prime Video reinvents a cult couple from the big screen: Donald Glover and Maya Erskine are “Mr & Mrs Smith” which revisits this story of love, action and espionage. Where have you seen the two actors before?
This is one of the most intriguing remakes of the start of the year: the new iteration of the famous couple of spies and hitmen Mr. and Mrs. Smith has landed on Prime Video. Co-written and edited by Francesca Sloane, Mr & Mrs Smith chronicles the arranged marriage between two secret agents who must succeed in high-risk missions as their relationship takes new steps.
After Scott Bakula and Maria Bello in the 1996 television series of the same name and Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in the film Mr and Mrs. Smith by Doug Liman from 2005, makes way for new faces: Donald Glover, also co-writer, and Maya Erskine.

Donald Glover
Aged 40, Donald Glover is a multi-faceted American artist as he is an actor, screenwriter, director, producer, comedian, beatmaker, musician, rapper and DJ. Musically, you may know him as Childish Gambino, an alias with whom he has released 4 albums and won numerous Grammy Awards.
As an actor, Donald Glover cut his teeth as a screenwriter for 30 Rock, the Tina Fey series, but he is best known for his role as Troy Barnes in the sitcom Community, which was a hit from 2009 to 2013.

We then see him in the films Alone on Mars, The Lazarus Effect and Magic Mike XXL but it is with his own series Atlanta that he regains popularity on screen, alongside his booming career as a rapper.
Donald Glover then distinguished himself more and more in the blockbuster, playing the Prowler in Spider-Man: Homecoming, a role that he would later return to vocally in the animated film Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse.
He also lends his voice to Simba in the film The Lion King, a new 3D animated version of the Disney classic. Finally, Donald Glover becomes the younger version of Lando Calrissian in the Star Wars universe by starring in Solo: A Star Wars Story. A film centered on his character is also in production.
Maya Erskine
Born in 1987 to a Japanese mother and a European father, Maya Erskine is an American actress and screenwriter best known on television for her roles as Maggie in Man Seeking Woman and Mikki in Betas. She also appeared in Insecure, Casual and Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later before hitting the big time with her own series PEN15.

She co-created and co-produced this comic fiction with Anna Konkle and the two actresses play fictional versions of themselves at 13 years old. In addition to the series, Maya Erskine has distinguished herself in a few films, between horror (Frankenstein, 10 Cloverfield Lane), comedy (A Weekend in Napa, We will be two!) and indie (6 Balloons, Sacramento).
Her most recent project is her foray into the fantasy and blockbuster universe since she played the role of pilot Sully in the Star Wars series: Obi-Wan Kenobi.
